Inbetweeners Film Magaluf

Welcome to The Inbetweeners information page where its all about the new film!
After three very successful seasons on the UK Television Channel E4, The Inbetweeners go onto the big screen! According to the script it is all about the four main characters, Will, Simon, Neil and Jay going on their so called first lad’s holiday! After seeing them in the TV series mainly in and around the school and their homes we can soon follow them on their first holiday to a destination somewhere in the med.
It is publicly known that some parts of the film have already been shot in Malia during the summer of 2010. For their final shots the Film Company decided to move location and opted for Magaluf as their ‘perfect’ place to shoot the scenes they still need. The film is being shot here in Magaluf from the 21st of February until the 19th of March 2011.
Here at Shagalluf we will bring you all the updates on what’s going on during the shooting of The Inbetweeners Film here in Magaluf and we will have exclusive photos of the workers here in the resort that are directly involved as extras in the Film. Due to copyright and the strict rules please understand we cannot publish everything but sure we will give you a good taste on what’s happening!
Many have been talking on the subject of that Magalluf will not be mentioned in the actual film but just some resort in the Mediterranean, however the people in the resort here in Magalluf are pleased that the film directors have chosen to film here and use many of the local businesses and workers as extras in the actual film. We even heard that there is a group on Facebook that is trying to convince the film company to chance the script so that The Inbetweeners go to Magalluf instead naming Malia where most other parts where shot.
First day of filming in Magaluf of the Big Screen Movie The Inbetweeners!
1st day of shooting of the new film The Inbetweeners has ended and it was an exciting day for all! Location was at and around the Magalluf Beach Bar Daiquiri Palace and started around ten in the morning. Most shots where focused on the famous four that make up The Inbetweeners Will, Simon Jay and Neil having some sort of lunch and then walked they walked towards the beach while getting up to their usual pranks for some scenes around the sun loungers and parasols. Later during the evening the whole crew moved onto the Revolution bar situated on the Magalluf Strip where they had some fun playing typical drinking games, Magalluf style! Many Magalluf workers where used as extras during the first day of the shoot. Magalluf certainly has now a few famous extras in the new film of The Inbetweeners, its truly a pity the story line plays out in Malia and not Magalluf Mallorca. A large buffet was set up with food and refreshments for the hungry crew and extras! They needed it as they had at least ten hours on the job on their first day!
Out in August The first big Screen film of the Inbetweeners..Don’t miss this one!
The Inbetweeners Movie goes Malia and not Magaluf

Magaluf Workers on the set of the film The Inbetweeners
The last four days of filming of the film The Inbetweeners has taken many of the Magalluf workers to various locations here on the island of Mallorca. The film crew and cast have shot some scenes in Soller and Palma as far as we know but most of the scenes so far are being filmed right here in the heart of Magaluf and the Magaluf beach! On an average there are about 50 extras used each day but some scenes require a lot more. Many of the workers here in Magaluf have signed up for parts as extras in the film and many have a good few days of so called fame and not to mention some extra pocket money.
The Inbetweeners Magaluf 9 days of filming!
It has been 9 days of filming for the actors, crew and extra’s of The Inbetweeners new big screen movie that will be released this August in a cinema near you back in the UK! The first week went well at the Magaluf beach where they filmed for about four days with plenty of sunshine. Now in the second week of filming the location changed from the Magaluf beach to the famous Magaluf Strip! The filming of The Inbetweeners film is now during the evening and night hours from approximately 5pm till 6am.
This week the temperature took a dive below the ten degrees Celsius and plenty of rain on the Monday and Tuesday night. It was freezing, everyone suffered but the ones that were affected the most where the actors and extras on the set as they all had to wear summer clothing while the film crew themselves could wear jumpers, jackets some could even wear gloves to keep warm. In between the filming of the scenes many extras used blankets to stay warm others thought some Sambuca might help to stay warm.
The Catering service at the set is doing a good job on keeping everyone refreshed by serving tea’s and coffee’s plus other refreshments’ and snacks at all times during the shoot of the film.
Proper meals are served at the dinner break hour. Tuesday’s evening meal was fried rice, chicken, sausage and ham croquettes with fried diced potatoes.
Fire near the film set of the Inbetweeners in Magaluf!

Disaster struck around 7am Wednesday morning just an hour after the film crew wrapped it up for the ‘day’! The Jumpin Jaks bar at the top end of Punta Ballena in Magaluf burst into flames and destroyed the entire bar.
The owners were asked to switch their neon lights on to help to light up the film set and create atmosphere. It was also possibly that the outside of the bar could be in one of the shots. When the shoot was finished the lights were turned off and everyone went home. Even though not confirmed they suspect an electrical failure is what could have caused the fire. Lucky that the bar was not open for public and that there was no one near the bar at that time, unfortunately for the owners as they just refurbished the entire bar the year before last.
Now they are looking at a total rebuild of the Jumpin Jaks Bar and all this one month before the Magaluf summer season 2011! Due to a fast response of the local police and firemen everything was under control very quickly and there was no further danger for the locals living nearby or damage to other business locals. Make sure to go and visit the Jumpin Jaks bar in Magaluf this summer once they reopen and say hello!
