Exclusive Interview with Dj Winfried S

1. How did you start your Dj career? I started in 1997 to mess about with some friends, very quick we started doing our own parties with big success and after that I moved on in other countries like Spain, and Andorra.
2. Which moment was your breakthrough into the so called top? Mmmm… define so called top!!! In my perception I still have a long way to go!! But I love it and I’m very happy with all the support I am getting.
3. Tell us one of your funniest or embarrassing moments during your career. Oh yeah about 4 years ago I was playing at a party. The Dj setup was placed on a table not to strong, after a while the crowd danced and jumped like crazy it didn’t take long for them to dance my dj table up site down. With all the equipment on the floor, Oopsss, I can’t remember how but we managed to keep the music going, oh so funny and what a party!!!!
4. Traveling much around Europe, do you miss your home country Holland? To be honest with you, not really, I am in touch a lot with all my family and friends, and I’m just loving’ the live I am living.
5. Can we see an international hit in the charts from Winfried S. any time soon! Hopefully yes!!! I am working very hard in the studio at this moment so who knows I can surprise you all this summer.
6. Would you like to share a usable tip for the up and coming DJ? Don’t give up, and keep on doing what you love.
7. Pioneer Cd decks or Technics & vinyl what’s your choice? All good, it doesn’t really matter, I love vinyl for the sound and the touch, But Cd decks gives much more space for creativity. The Industry and technology goes so fast. What about computers? With time code systems you can now use your vinyl again with the features of a Cd deck. Or what about something like the software Ableton Live, you just end up remixing everything live. I love it All!!!
8. What’s your favorite pass-time if you are not in the club playing music? So many things, I spend loads of times searching for new music or working in the studio, be sides that I love scuba diving, snowboarding, going to concerts or listen to other DJ’s playing.
9. If you had to choose would it be the summers in Magaluf or winters in Andorra? Don’t have to choose, can combine them perfect, and what is better than beach in summer and snow in winter?
10. Who is your team to win the world cup 2010 in South Africa? Holland of course!
